Durian buffet event held in Bangkok

BANGKOK, May 25 (TNA) -- “King of Fruits” is the star at Thailand Amazing Durian & Fruit Fest 2017 where durian-lovers can savor all-you-can-eat buffet of tropical fruits. The event at Bangkok’s CentralWorld shopping complex from Wednesday until May 31 features durian, mangosteen, mango, banana, rambutan, lychee, watermelon, papaya and salak. It proves to be a dream fest for fruit enthusiasts and farmers alike. The organizers aim to improve standard of Thai orchards and product quality. Visitors can enjoy sweet meal and desserts such as coconut milk ice cream and mango & sticky rice. Stars of the event are 17 varieties of durian, which are top produce of 19 provinces. For the buffet, ticket price is Bt499 per person per round allowing guests to taste anything through the 90-minute session. The buffet will move to the outdoor area at Central Festival Chiang Mai from June 7 to 13 and then to Phuket at the outdoor area of Central Festival Phuket from June 28 to July 4. (TNA)
