Two famous waterfalls in Thailand closed down
UTHAI THANI, May 28 (TNA) – Two famous waterfalls in Uthai Thani have been closed down indefinitely for fear of possible flash floods and mudslides, which could threaten people’s lives.
Persistent downpours over a week in Uthai Thani led to powerful streams of water in the Huai Kha Khaeng Wildlife Sanctuary.
As a result, two waterfalls situated near the wildlife sanctuary – Sai Bor Waterfall and Kaeng Sao Noi Waterfall – in Huai Khot district have been ordered to close indefinitely, and tourists are not allowed to enter and swim at the sites for the time being.
The closure is aimed at preventing danger from life-threatening flash floods and mudslides.
Local officials have been ordered to monitor the situation closely, and the waterfalls will reopen to visitors once the situation returns to normalcy. (TNA)
