NATIONAL OPERA STARS TO PERFORM PUCCINI’S TOSCA FOR THE FIRST TIME
Baku, 11 February (AzerTAc). Giacomo Puccini’s Tosca will be performed for the first time in the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater on February 28.
Azerbaijan People’s Artist and Presidential Prize Winner Garina Karimova, who
performed Tosca party in the Russian Bolshoy Theater in 2003, and People’s Artist
Azer Zeynalov will play the main parties. It will be Zeynalov’s first performance as
Cavaradossi. St Petersburg conductor-invitee Arkady Steinlucht will conduct the
opera, directed by Russian People’s Artist Alexander Petrov from the St Petersburg
Mariinsky Theater.
