FLOODS AGAIN HIT TOLITOLI

Tolitoli, Central Sulawesi, Feb. 12 (ANTARA) - Floods have inundated a number of public facilities such as markets and schools in Tolitoli District, Central Sulawesi.

"In my school, the class rooms are submerged by knee-deep flood," a student of a state elementary school said here on Thursday. Tens of students were mobilized to clean up the class rooms.
Madako University's campus and another state elementary school were also flooded.
'Bumi Harapan' traditional market was also inundated by floodwaters, forcing local traders to evacuate their goods to saver area.
Heavy rains, accompanied by strong wind, fell in Tolitoli on Thursday morning triggering floods in several housing complexes.
Last January, floods damaged tens of hectares of rice fields at Lakatan and Ogomoli villages, Galang Sub District, Tolitoli District.
