OIC Chief receives Albanian Foreign Minister

Jeddah, February 16, SPA -- The Secretary General of the Organization
of the Islamic Conference (OIC), Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu received
yesterday at his office here, Lulzim Basha, the Albanian Minister of
Foreign Affairs and the accompanying delegation.


The Albanian Foreign Minister stressed his country's readiness to
strengthen bilateral cooperation with the OIC in various fields of
common interest.


On his part, Prof Ihsanoglu briefed the Minister on the ongoing
preparations for the next session of the Ministerial Council to be
held in Damascus, Syria in May 2009 as well as the reform process in
the OIC.


The two parties discussed various regional and international issues
including the situation in the Middle East and Kosovo, according to a
press release issued by the OIC.
