Albanian Foreign Minister visits Jeddah Chamber of Commerce
Jeddah, February 16, SPA -- Albanian Foreign Minister Lulzim Xhelal
Basha appreciated today, the substantial assistance that his country
received from Saudi Arabia, government and people.
"The unstinted support provided by the Saudi Government has a major
impact on the Albanian people. More than 70 per cent of Albania's
population are Muslims," he said during a visit this morning to
Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
He said that his country has achieved significant economic growth
during the past year, showing a growth rate exceeding 18 percent.
"Moreover, Albania enjoys a state of stability at all levels, which
help the country to develop its relationship in the Middle East,
especially with Saudi Arabia."
He stressed that Albania is looking forward to attract Saudi
investment into the country.
Basha said that he and the accompanying delegation visited also a
number of Saudi leading enterprises including SABIC (Saudi Arabian
Basic Industries Corporation) to discuss joint cooperation and
partnership in a number of fields to pave the way for Saudi and GCC
investors to establish businesses in Albania.
He added that Albania has received 2 million tourists during the
last year's season and opened its arms for GCC family tourism with
paragon prices.
