Albanian Foreign Minister visits Jeddah Chamber of Commerce 2

For his part, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jeddah
Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mazen Mohammed Batterjee said that
today's visit comes within the framework of the efforts of the
Albanian government to expand its economic relations with Arab
states, especially Saudi Arabia, , adding that Albania is one of the
States which has a strong reputation in the investment area.

He said that relations between Saudi Arabia and Albania are strong
as the two governments ensure the two countries maintain bilateral
relations at a high level, especially in the economic, trade,
investment, educational, scientific, technical, cultural, media,
tourism, youth and sports spheres.

Albania has a population of 4.5 million, 70 per cent of its citizens
are
Muslims. The country is spread over an area of 28,748 square
kilometers. About 75% of Albania's population live in rural areas,
and the remaining 25% reside in cities. Almost half a million people
live in Tiranë. The other most important cities are: Durrës:( port
formal) and Shkodër: (the birthplace of al-Albaani) and Elbasan.
