Seoul stocks open lower on big-cap losses


SEOUL, Feb. 17 (Yonhap) -- South Korean stocks got off to a weak start Tuesday as
large caps lost ground, analysts said.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) fell 19.25 points, or
1.64 percent, to 1,156.22 in the first 15 minutes of trading.
The local currency was trading at 1,436.25 won against the U.S. dollar as of 9:15
a.m., down 8.75 won from Monday's close.
