Prince Faisal bin Abdullah receives Oglu

Riyadh, Feb. 17, SPA -- Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz,
the President of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, received here
today Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsan Oglu, the secretary general of
Jeddah-based Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) accompanied
by OIC's assistant secretary general for humanitarian affairs
ambassador Atta-al-mannan and executive director of the Islamic
solidarity fund Abdel-Wahab Noor Wali.
Speaking on the occasion, Prince Faisal highlighted the significant
role being played by the OIC in the service of the Islamic causes.
On his part, Oglu expressed appreciation for the Kingdoms continuous
role in the support of the OIC and praised the role of the Saudi Red
Crescent Authority in extending assistance to the poor people in the
Muslim countries.
They reviewed the humanitarian situation in Gaza strip as well as
aspects of cooperation between the OIC and the Red Crescent Authority
as regards extending assistance to the Palestinians in Gaza strip.
Prince Faisal bin Abdullah underlined the importance of coordination
in the relief operations through holding a conference for the relief
organizations under the umbrella of the OIC.
