Government's keenness to promote national products stressed

Manama, Sep. 19 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa stressed the government's keenness to back initiatives promoting national products and supporting its schemes to achieve self sufficiency in some food products. He urged the private sector to participate effectively in developing national industries and reviving traditional ones. HRH the Prime Minister was speaking as he received members of the royal family and senior officials. He lauded ability of national products to compete locally and internationally especially in light of the facilities and favourable investment climate provided by the government. HRH the Premier underlined the government's continuous adoption of strategies to develop national industries and boost their competitiveness at the local, regional and international level. He reviewed with the audience local issues, stressing Bahrain's rich heritage and the need to preserve it for the posterity.
