SGH to hold regional workshop on epidemiology and early warning
Riyadh, February 18, SPA --Executive Board of the Health Ministers'
Council of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States will hold at Qasr Al
Riyadh Hotel here on Sunday a regional workshop for the management of
health and epidemiological information and epidemics surveillance
system and early warning ( Arabic Rasedoun).
Dr. Tawfiq Bin Ahmed Khojah, director General of Executive
Board of the Health Ministers' Council G.C.C. States said that the
two-day workshop will be held in cooperation between SGH and the
Regional Office of WHO for the Eastern Mediterranean in order to
develop a mechanism and plan for the application of the
epidemiological surveillance system in the GCC.
The program (Rasedoun) provides GCC health care officials with
multi-dimensional electronic system which is a database of health
information for the collection of all relevant various diseases of
the personal data of each case. It is the only system to ensure
accurate and timely recording of data to be submitted to the
concerned bodies.
