Rayaat student council launched

Manama, Sep. 24 (BNA): AlMabrrah AlKhalifia Foundation has launched its first ‘Rayaat Student Council’ for the year 2017-2018 in line with its efforts to promote the sense of social responsibility among the youth. The Student Council aims to achieve its mission of instilling the importance of volunteering with different groups of the society and strengthening social bonds, encouraging students to take an active role in the community. The council will also organize events and trips to promote the culture of volunteerism among all students. The council consisting of nine members elected Nawaf Al-Hajeri as chairman, Maria Mohammad as deputy chairperson, Noora Ali as secretary and Noor Al Awadhi as treasurer. ‘Rayaat Scholarship Programme’ was launched in 2011 as a comprehensive approach to promote educational achievement and personality development providing students with scholarship opportunities at accredited universities in the Kingdom. Moreover, financial incentives, enrichment workshops, job placements, and community service opportunities are offered within a supportive environment that encourages students to take an active role in the community.
