Anti-drone centre set up at Sanam Luang
BANGKOK, Oct 12 (TNA) – The Royal Thai Airforce (RTAF) has set up the anti-drone centre at Sanam Luang ceremonial ground to prevent drone flying during the royal cremation ceremony of HM late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
The RTAF commander-in-chief, Air Chief Marshal Chom Rungsawang said the RTAF was assigned to help setting the anti-drone center at Sanam Luang.
Sensor system and equipment have been installed to detect drones and air guards have been deployed to station around Sanam Luang, he said.
The commander-in-chief today presided over the blessing ceremony for the royal crematorium replica at Thupatemee Royal Thai Air Force Sports Stadium.
The replica construction has been completed. Workers are adding the finishing touch on decorations and landscaping work. Volunteers will be trained to assist people on Oct 20 and 25.
ACM Chom said the venue can serve about 100,000 people to lay sandalwood flowers for the late King on Oct 26.
Medical service, waiting tents and mobile toilets will be provided for participants. (TNA)
