Government prepares commemorative pins for royal cremation

BANGKOK, Oct 12 (TNA) – The government unveiled commemorative pins for the royal cremation of HM late King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam said after granted permission from His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn, Office of the Permanent Secretary, Prime Minister Office will produce pins for selling at the Centre of the Public Service on Oct 22. The first batch of 40,000 pins will be available at 300 baht each. After the royal cremation ceremony, the commemorative pins will be offered at the exhibition, to be held near the royal crematorium on Sanam Luang ceremonial ground. After that, orders will be accepted at the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Prime Minister Office, Krung Thai banks from Dec 1 onwards. People in provinces can place orders at provincial offices. Two pins are limited for each person. The public will receive the pins on Jan 8, 2018 from where they place orders. All proceeds from selling commemorative pins will go to the royal charity. (TNA)
