Information Minister hails media training programmes

Manama, Oct. 12 (BNA): Information Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi underlined the ministry's keenness on organising more specialised training programmes to groom national media competencies and hone their technical, professional and knowledge skills in order to participate effectively and competitively in the labour market. He stressed the importance of those training programmes in boosting the media and keeping it abreast of the development and civilisational achievements in the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The minister was interacting, in the presence of the Information Ministry Undersecretary Abdulrahman Mohammed Bahar, with 60 graduates from national universities taking part in the comprehensive professional media programme organised by the ministry in partnership with Tamkeen and in cooperation with the Jordan Media Institute at the production studio. He was briefed on the trainees' projects in TV production which showcase their promising talents and the benefits they gainedfrom the two-month training programme. The minister underscored confidence in the youth and their technical and creative capabilities, stressing the royal support. He also thanked the Labour Fund (Tamkeen) for its contribution to funding the professional programme and providing Bahraini youngsters with outstanding opportunities to become the top choice in the labour market.
