CBB supports Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign

Manama, Oct. 12 (BNA): The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) is taking part in the ongoing social campaign "Manama – The Pink City" by decorating its building with pink lights. The building will remain lit during the full month of October to underline the importance of social responsibility and spread healthcare awareness in Bahrain. The campaign, launched by the Bahrain Cancer Society as part of their annual October Breast Cancer month, aims to spread awareness about cancer and encourage women to do early screening, especially since early detection is a major contributor to successful treatment. In line with the awareness campaign, and in support of the community initiatives that promote raising health awareness in Bahrain, the CBB is launching educational and awareness programmes for its employees focusing on the importance of early detection and leading a healthy lifestyle, as well as help raise funds towards the cause through sales of campaign souvenirs. In addition, CBB employees will be joining the annual walkathon organized by Bahrain Cancer Society for the 6th consecutive year on Friday.
