KPK DETAINS BPK AUDITOR OVER GRAFT CASE



Jakarta, Feb 19 (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) detained on Thursday suspended auditor of the State Audit Board (BPK) Bagindo Quirinno for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rp650 million.

Bagindo was detained after the commission had collected sufficient evidence of his alleged involvement in the case, KPK spokesman Johan said.
Bagindo was suspected of taking a bribe when he was chief of the auditor team auditing a project at the Manpower and Transmigration Ministry, he said.
Earlier, the commission also had detained chief of the ministry's system and innovation development subdirectorate Taswin Zein on charges of bribing Bagindo to alter the results of his audit on the project related to the improvement of machinery and equipment of vocational training centers.***
