Princess attends final rehearsal on Royal Cremation
BANGKOK, Oct 21 (TNA) -- Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn early Saturday attended the third and final rehearsal on Royal Cremation Processions for His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
Accompanied by her nieces Ploypailin Jensen and Sirikitiya Jensen, the princess joined the rehearsal in her private capacity. They were in the first procession responsible for carrying the Royal Urn of the beloved late king who passed away on October 13 last year.
The first procession marched majestically from Bangkok’s Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall inside the Grand Palace where the body of His Majesty the late King lies. The procession moved in accordance with the drum beat.
The Royal Urn was later placed at a Busabok or small pavilion on Phra Maha Phichai Ratcharot, or the Great Victory Royal Chariot in front of Wat Phra Chetuphon (Wat Pho).
The first procession was followed by the second and third procession.
A large crowd of people watched the grandeur of the final rehearsal enthusiastically.
The actual Royal Cremation Ceremony takes place at Sanam Luang ceremonial ground, in front of the Grand Palace, next Thursday. (TNA)
