Royal crematorium replicas nationwide completed
BANGKOK, Oct 24 (TNA) - The replicas of the royal crematorium across the country have been completely built while some provinces are still doing landscaping works to befit the greatness of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
In the northeastern province of Nakhon Ratchasima, the royal crematorium replica was completely constructed at the ground in front of the city hall. It was decorated with statues of four male elephants and marigolds in full bloom.
The cremation flower offering for the late King is scheduled to start at 9am of the Royal Cremation Day. Senior provincial monks will lay sandalwood flowers first to mark the beginning of the sandalwood laying ceremony in the province.
In Nong Khai, provincial governor presided over the blessing ceremony for the royal crematorium replica at the Phochai Temple, the royally-sponsored temple.
The Hindu Brahmin ritual is conducted to worship gods with offering and traditional dancing, performed by teachers in dancing art of the province’s cultural office network.
Volunteers moved 100,000 cremation flowers to the ceremonial site for mourners, attending the ceremony on Oct 26.
In Kalasin, government officials and public members attended the blessing ceremony for the royal crematorium replica outside the city hall. Workers are giving the finishing touch to the landscape and surrounding area. The irrigation project, initiated by His Majesty late King Bhumibol is demonstrated at the site. The so-called Monkey Cheek project is water retention area to store water for local farmers in the dry season and to relieve flood in the rainy season. Provincial governor supports officials and volunteers to work for the beloved King for the last time.
In the eastern province of Prachin Buri, provincial governor inspected the finished work of the royal crematorium replica construction in front of the city hall. Officials have prepared the venue for people from addition six districts to lay sandalwood flowers for the late King.
In the southern province of Surat Thani, the royal crematorium replica was built at the Klang Mai temple in the provincial seat. Officials and volunteers placed marigolds, other flowers and statues of mythical Himaphan Forest animals for decoration. (TNA)
