Leadership congratulated on Government Forum 2017 success

Manama, Oct. 30 (BNA): Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C (Alba) Chairman of Board of Directors, Shaikh Daij Bin Salman Bin Daij Al Khalifa extended his congratulations to Bahrain’s leadership on the success of the Government Forum 2017. The Government Forum 2017 was held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, and through the initiative of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister. In his statement,Shaikh Daij said: "At the onset, I express my profound gratitude to the leadership of the Kingdom and the Government of Bahrain for its strong commitment towards initiatives and programmes that will help achieve Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030. I also extend congratulations to His Royal Highness the Prime Minister and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince on the establishment and success of the Government Forum, which highlights our Kingdom’s progress and achievements as well as the importance of public and private sector cooperation. I take this opportunity to express my heartfelt thanks to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness the Prime Minister, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, for their continuous support towards Alba and its landmark development project – the Line 6 Expansion. Alba’s Line 6 Expansion Project will fulfil the principles enshrined in Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, including the continued development of the Kingdom’s economy and achieving further prosperity for Bahrain’s citizens. One of the mega projects in Bahrain and the GCC, the Line 6 Expansion Project will have a major impact on Bahrain’s GDP by further developing the Aluminium Industry and strengthening its position as the hub for the downstream aluminium industry in the GCC. It will also create many new employment opportunities for Bahrainis at both Alba and other local downstream industries. With the strong support of our leadership and the Government of Bahrain, we look forward to the full execution of the Line 6 Expansion Project, which will make Alba the world’s largest single-site smelter upon its completion in early 2019."
