HM King's condolences conveyed to Bassiouni family

Washington, Oct. 30 (BNA): Bahrain's Ambassador to the United States, Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, conveyed the condolences of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the family of the late Professor Mahmoud Cherif Bassiouni. This came during the participation of the ambassador in the memorial service of Professor Bassiouni that was held by his family in Chicago and that was attended by a number of officials, academics and members of the diplomatic corps. The ambassador valued the efforts exerted by the late Professor Bassiouni in the field of International Law and expressed Bahrain’s pride in the contributions of the deceased during his chairmanship of the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry which was established to investigate the conspiracy that targeted the Kingdom in 2011 led by foreign interference.
