Foreign exchange reserve increased during 2008

SANA'A, Feb. 19 (Saba) - Foreign exchange reserve in the Yemeni
Central Bank has increased from $7.433 billion to reach $ 7.898
billion during 2007, according to a finance official report.

The report has also mentioned that the total amount of the unified
budget of the commercial and Islamic banks working in Yemen ,14,
rose up to YR 1.544.961 trillion with an increase of YR 244 billion
compared with YR 1.300.410 trillion during 2007.

Foreign assets of those banks have risen up to around YR 308.6
billion from YR278.8 billion with an increase of YR 30.400 billion
in 2007.
