ACEH NOT DISCUSSED IN KALLA-AHTISAARI MEETING

Jakarta, Feb 22 (ANTARA) - Vice president Jusuf Kalla met with former Finnish president and facilitator for the peace agreement between the Indonesian government and former Free Aceh Movement (GAM) at the former's residence here on Sunday evening.

Kalla said that they did not discuss Aceh domestic issues such as the Aceh Transfer Committee and the general elections "as it would not be ethical as they were all our domestic affairs," he said.
Kalla said that Ahtisaari was a friend including a friend of Indonesia. On the occasion Kalla said he had also congratulated him for becoming a Nobel Peace Laureate.
The two planned to meet again on Monday evening before Ahtisaari went to Aceh.
Since the signing of the peace agreement between the Indonesian government and the GAM in Helsinki, Vice President Jusuf Kalla and Ahtisaari had met several times to maintain close relationship and to discuss developments in Aceh after the Helsinki agreement.
