South Africa`s President receives Saudi Minister of Commerce

Pretoria, South Africa, February 23, SPA -- President of South Africa
Kgalema Petrus Motlanthe, received today at his residence here,
Abdullah Ahmed Zainel, Saudi Minister of Commerce and Industry who
arrived in Johannesburg last night.

Zainel is heading a delegation of the Kingdom for the third session
of Saudi-South African Joint Committee.

During the meeting, they discussed a number of topics, including the
volume of trade exchange between the two friendly countries and ways
to strengthen and develop this volume further.

The meeting was attended by Prince Turki bin Saud bin Mohammed Al
Saud, Vice President of KACST for Researches' Affairs and Saudi
Ambassador to South Africa Mohammed Mahmoud Al Ali and South African
Ambassador to Saudi Arabia John Davies.
