Report on National Family Safety Program 2 Riyadh

The objectives of the Program are to strengthen the role of the
Kingdom in the humanitarian field by working on preparation of
national regulations and policies to end domestic violence and child
abuse in Saudi Arabia.

It prepares future strategies and action plans to end domestic
violence and child abuse based on scientific evidences obtained from
social surveys and statistical studies conducted in all regions of
the Kingdom.

One of the NFSP objectives is to raise the level of awareness among
the individuals and institutions of damages caused by domestic
violence and child abuse and their negative effects on society in the
long term in addition to promoting partnership and solidarity with
the governmental sectors, NGOs, and charitable organizations in order
to unite efforts and organize joint national action, and at the same
time to overcome obstacles and duplication in the objectives and
performance.

One of the Program goals is to prepare and implement prevention and
intervention programs in addition to rehabilitation programs to
assist victims of domestic violence and child abuse and protect them
through specialized teams dealing with the case from medical,
psychological, social, and legal perspectives as well as train staff
members of NFSP associates to deal appropriately and effectively with
