Report on National Family Safety Program 4 Riyadh
Other scopes of NFSP works are as follows:
-- Establishment of the “National Registry of Child Abuse Cases” in
collaboration with the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research
Centre for registration and documentation of cases, thus providing a
scientific database which will be utilized to conduct scientific
researches and statistical studies.
- Holding regular meetings with representatives from the
governmental sectors, as well as concerned NGOs and charitable
societies to discuss aspects of joint cooperation, overcome
obstacles, and avoid duplication of visions and goals. Such efforts
will serve the public interest and regulates efforts as well.
- Provision of Intensive and specialized training courses to the
professionals in different sectors in a number of Saudi cities for
several weeks in collaboration with the International Society for
Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (ISPCAN) as well as giving
scientific and guiding lectures, workshops and training courses in
different educational, security, social and health organizations.
- Establishment of “Child Abuse and Domestic Violence Treatment
Centers” in major hospitals in all regions of the Kingdom. These
centers provide medical and social services in collaboration with the
regional social protection committees of the Ministry of Social
Affairs. Also establishment of the “Mandatory Reporting Law” of
domestic violence and child abuse cases for the health care workers
in governmental and private health sectors in the Kingdom.
- Provision of specialized consultations to the government & civil
organizations with regard to domestic violence and child abuse in the
kingdom, in addition to medical and social consultations to
individuals through phone or e-mail, provided by a group of
consultants and specialists in the medical, psychological and social
fields.
- Representation of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia among all, local,
regional, and international organizations, as well as scientific
gatherings in the fields of domestic violence and child abuse.
