RI, NETHERLANDS TO COOPERATE IN LEGAL AFFAIRS
Jakarta, Feb 23 (ANTARA) - The Indonesian and Netherlands governments have agreed to form a joint committee to cooperate in the legal field.
The agreement was formalized in a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed by Indonesian Law and Human Rights Minister Andi Mattalatta and Dutch Justice Minister E.M.H. Hirsch Ballin here on Monday.
The cooperation would cover 11 subject matters, namely drafting of laws, human rights, immigration management and systems, legal research for the drafting of academic documents, intellectual property rights, public administration law, human resources development, legal library management, and legal documentation.
"A more detailed plan to implement the cooperation will be made in meeting of the Indonesia-Netherlands Joint Committee," Mattalatta said.
He said the members of the joint committee would be made up of a number of officials from related institutions both in Indonesia and the Netherlands.
Mattalatta said the legal cooperation between Indonesian and the Netherlands would be implemented among others in the form of trainings.***
