INDONESIA CONDEMNS BOMBING IN CAIRO

Jakarta, Feb 24 (ANTARA) - Indonesia condemned perpetrators of the bombing at the Khal el-Khalili market in Cairo, Egypt, that killed a foreign tourist recently.
In its statement issued here on Tuesday the Indonesian foreign ministry said "the Indonesian government condemned its perpetrator/s and hoped the Egyptian authorities could immediately be able to arrest them."
In connection with the incident the government called on Indonesian citizens living in that country to increase alertness.
The bombing on Sunday night killed a 17-year old French girl and injured 24 others including 17 French tourists, one German, three Saudis and three Egyptians.
Until now no group or individuals claimed responsibility over the attack on tourists.
This was the first deadly attack on tourists in Egypt after several bombings killed at least 23 people in several tourist destinations along the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt in 2006.
