Integrated agricultural complex opens in Budaiya

Manama, Dec. 27 (BNA): An integrated agricultural and farming complex opened its doors in the region of Budaiya. Undersecretary for Agriculture and Marine Resources Shaikh Khalifa bin Isa Al-Khalifa inaugurated the BD1-million project, which covers 25,000 square metres. The opening ceremony was attended by Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Agriculture Dr. Ibrahim Youssef, Advisor Professor Mohammed Fouda and Farming Incubators Centre director Essam Mustapha attended. The project includes 35 green houses, a nursery for the production of ornamental and fruit plants, a garden for domestic animals, a children’s arcade, in addition to restaurants, family-only majalis, and centres to sell fruit, vegetables, flowers and ornamental plants. Tasnim complex owner Hanif Nassif addressed the ceremony welcoming the Undersecretary for Agriculture and Marine Resources Shaikh Khalifa bin Isa Al-Khalifa. He said that his company incorporates latest technologies to provide conventional agricultural services and aquaculture techniques as part of efforts to promote Bahrain’s food security. Undersecretary for Agriculture and Marine Resources Shaikh Khalifa bin Isa Al-Khalifa congratulated the project owner, hailing private investments in the agricultural sector.
