Bahrain to participate in GCC parliamentary meeting

Manama, Jan. 2 (BNA): Bahrain parliamentary delegation to participate in the tenth meeting of the GCC Parliamentary Coordination and Foreign Relations Committee, in preparation for the 11th meeting of GCC heads of councils of Shura, Representatives and National Assembly, which will be held in Kuwait on 8, 9 January 2018 under chairmanship of Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla. The meeting will discuss topics on its agenda, chiefly mechanisms to deal with the international parliaments’ reports on the GCC countries, the bylaw of the GCC parliamentary committee tasked with consolidating ties with the European Parliament, as well as the exchange of visits with the latter. It will also discuss joining the Arab Parliamentarians Forum (APF), reconsidering cooperation with the Arab Institute for Parliamentary Training and Legislative Studies of the Arab Parliamentary Union, in addition to countering terrorism.
