Mara’ee to be held in 2018

Manama, Jan. 9 (BNA): The Bahrain Animal Production Show (Mara’ee) will make its comeback in 2018. Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf announced the event on the sidelines of his meeting – in the presence of INJAZ Bahrain Chief Executive Officer Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa – with Pico International Bahrain CEO khalid Juman. The meeting was attended by Undersecretary for Agricultural Affairs and Marine Resources Shaikh Khalifa bin Isa Al-Khalifa, Undersecretary for Municipal Affairs Dr. Nabil Abul Fateh, Capital Trustees’ Secretary-General Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed and other officials. The meeting focused on the location of Mara’ee 2018 exhibition, and the spaces which will be allocated to exhibitors from Bahrain and abroad to showcase their products. The minister stressed the importance of Mara’ee 2018 which, he said, represents a premium opportunity for investors in the sector to keep abreast of latest products and strides. He called upon investors to benefit from the presence of specialized international companies to develop the sector, as part of strenuous efforts to achieve Bahrain’s food security. His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa launched the first edition of the Bahrain Animal Production Show (Mara’ee) in November 2010, reflecting keenness on developing animal production, aquaculture, as stipulated in the action plan of the Government, chaired by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and the 2030 Bahrain Economic Vision.
