BBBF hosts panel discussion

Manama, Jan. 18 (BNA): The Bahrain British Business Forum has hosted a BBBF "Legal" Special Interest Group (SIG) panel discussion, in partnership with Newton Legal Group. BBBF members and their guests were introduced to a panel of experts that discussed the commercial and legal aspects of startups and accelerators in the Kingdom. The panel discussed the rapid development in "startup" businesses in Bahrain and the role that the "accelerators" play in order to support and develop them. It also considered the importance of the startup "ecosystem" to Bahrain’s economy, ways to grow it and the key challenges it faces which the Kingdom has already started to address. The panel discussion was well attended by members of the BBBF, who also had the opportunity to develop their understanding of the commercial contracts and other legal protections critical to the development of the startup sector as well as learn of recent developments in the regulation that the government and the Central Bank have introduced.
