Championship revenue allocated to cancer patients

Manama, Jan. 21 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association has instructed to allocate the revenue of #Bahraini's_Strongest_Man for supporting cancer patients. The championship will be held under the patronage of His Highness and organized by the Media Office of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa under the slogan #Stay_Monster in "Bahrain Bay" from February 22 to 24, which coincides with the Global Day of Challenging Cancer Disease. HH Shaikh Khalid said: "We have taken our decision in making the incomes of the championship for supporting cancer patients, which has come from our concerning in the continual participation with this group in its global day in the fourth of February in every year, that coincides the holding of the championship competitions". "We have connected between these two events, for the great spiritual motivation that this championship will give to this group and make them attend and interactive with all activities. Also, it makes them know its goals that focus on practicing Sports in all its different types, support its culture in the community as Health Style for everyone and take the chance of it to contribute and help this group by the championship’s incomes". His Highness added. His Highness said: "We are going on launching more Humanity Initiatives in order to apply the instructions of His Majesty’s Leadership instructions in supporting different types of the community especially cancer patients. We are concerning of the importance of participating and contributing in the supporting of this group that challenges with full persistence and determination and power this disease. My message to them is they will not be alone, we will be with them to challenge this disease". His Highness Shaikh Khalid also launched the initiative of #Challenge_of_Khalid_bin_Hamad_for_Swimming in 2014, in order to support cancer patients which gained great impression on the regional and international levels for its good intentions. It reflected the Humanity sense of His Highness, in the true contributing and participating to support this group. In this initiative, His Highness instructed a Global Humanity Message aims for continued efforts to challenge different types of this disease that threaten human lives.
