LG Display releases 27-inch full HD screen

SEOUL, Feb. 26 (Yonhap) -- LG Display Co., the world's second-largest maker of
liquid crystal displays (LCD), said Thursday it has released a 27-inch full HD
screen that can be used as both a PC monitor and a TV screen.
Unlike most wide-screens, which have a 16:9 ratio, the new LG model is in
compliance with the standard of full HD screens by providing a 16:10 ratio,
providing to provide a crisper, clearer image, the company said in a statement.
With a standard refresh rate of 120 hertz, the screen features a maximum
resolution of 1,920 pixels horizontally by 1,080 pixels vertically and a response
time of 8 milliseconds, it added.
