Saudi Ambassador to Australia participates in economic forum

Sidney, February 26, SPA -- Saudi Ambassador to Australia and New
Zealand Hassan Talat Nazer, has reiterated the importance of taking
advantage of the economic experience in accordance with the Islamic
perspective.
In a forum on global economic crisis recently organized here by
Islamic Friendship Association of Australia, he has pointed to the
need for interaction between Western and Islamic approaches to
enhance the options as a way to deal with the global economic crisis.


Meanwhile, the forum which was attended by senior economists,
university professors and politicians, addressed a number of change
initiatives and proposals to mitigate the effects of the global
economic crisis in Australia, including proposals to build the first
Islamic bank in Australia.
