Bahrain national handball players rewarded

Manama, Jan. 24 (BNA): The Bahrain National Handball Team players have been rewarded in recognition of their brilliant qualification to the World Men's Handball Championship 2019. His Majesty’s Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa gave directives to pay bonuses to the players. The Bahrain National Handball Team qualified to World Men's Handball Championship for the fourth times in a row after defeating Japan to reach the semifinals of the Asian Championship, being held in South Korea. BOC Secretary-General Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar thanked HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa for his directives, hailing his keenness on supporting players. He described the directives as a catalyst for players to double efforts and better their performance in the coming stages of the Asian championship. He commended his support to the national teams and players, being Bahrain’s ambassadors at different sports arenas.
