OIC Secretary General condemns insult of Prophet Mohamed (PBUH)
Jeddah, February 26, SPA -- The Secretary General of the Organization
of the Islamic Conference (OIC), Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, has condemned
the insult by the Tenth Israeli TV channel of Prophet Mohammed (Peace
be upon him), and indignation of the sentiments and creed of Muslims,
considering this insult as reconfirmation of the real racial face of
the Israeli institution, and its continuous endeavor to create
seditions and instigate disputes, and noting that this outrageous
conduct came a few days after the channel's airing of defamatory
material against Jesus Christ and his mother Virgin Mary (Peace be
upon them) .
Ihsanoglu stated that Muslims all over the world were shocked by
this continuous evil campaign against Islam and its prophet (Peace be
upon him), and that this outrageous campaign has crossed all red
lines and gone too far in insulting the prophet and despising a
religion followed by more than one and half billion Muslims.
He reiterated OIC's call for forming an international coalition to
combat religions, prophets and sacred places' defaming.
