18,092 users for MOW’s online services in 2017

Manama, Jan. 30 (BNA): Information Technology Director at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Hisham Sater said that 18,092 users accessed the ministry’s online services in 2017, with 4822 users during the last quarter of the year. November attracted the highest number of users, with 1,712 users, followed by October with 1602 users, and December with 1,502 users. The materials testing results service targeted the highest number of users with 7,044 users, followed by the traffic diversion service with 3,509 requests and the Internal Tenders Service with 2,595 users. The Ministry launched the advanced contractor prequalification eService, which enables contractors to place new applications, whether new prequalification requests, or renew existing applications or upgrade an application. In addition, by providing this service the Ministry aims to improve the quality of projects and provide a modern and updated database to focus on contracting companies of different levels and capabilities and monitor their performance regularly to benefit all parties from both the public and private sectors.
