RI, US MARINES CONCLUDE MILY EXERCISE
Jakarta, Feb 27 (ANTARA) - The Indonesian and US marine corpses on Friday concluded a joint military exercise which had taken place since February 16, 2009.
Commander of the Indonesian Navy's Marine Corps Maj Gen Djunaidi Djahri said his side would continue to develop cooperation with the marine corpses of other countries.
"Besides nurturing our bilateral relations, the joint exercise was intended to increase the marine corps personnel's capabilities and skills," he said.
The exercise was participated in by 90 Indonesian Marine Corps members and 46 men of US Marine Corps' Fourth Regiment led by Col. You.
Both sides during the training used sophisticated simulators which controlled by a tactical control group. The exercise was aimed at increasing both parties' ability in the fields of planning, staff activities, maintenance operation procedures, command control, decision making and supervision.
