UNITED TRACTORS' PROFIT JUMPS 78 PCT
Jakarta, Feb 27 (ANTARA) - Publicly-listed heavy-duty equipment maker PT United Tractors Tbk said on Friday its net profit jumped 78 percent to Rp2.66 trillion last year, driven by a 54 percent rise in its income.
Consolidated sales last year climbed 54 percent to Rp27.90 trillion from Rp18.17 trillion a year earlier, United Tractors Corporate Secretary Sara K Loebis said.
The jump in the sales of heavy-duty equipment and spare parts as well as maintenance services were key factors contributing to the company's income, she said.
Heavy-duty equipment sales last year rose 26 percent to 4,345 units from 3,454 units the year before, enabling Komatsu, a subsidiary of United Tractors, to maintain its 45 percent share of the domestic heavy-duty equipment market, she said.
