Yemen, Tajikistan hold official talks session

DUSHANBE, Feb. 27 (Saba)- The Republic of Yemen and the Republic of
Tajikistan held on Friday an official talks session in the capital
of Tajikistan, Dushanbe, with the participation of a number of
ministers from both countries.

In the opening of the session, the Tajik President Emomalii Rahmon
welcomed President Ali Abdullah Saleh and his accompanying
delegation.

In his speech, President Saleh expressed happiness to visit
Tajikistan and to get acquainted with its constructional and
economic development, saying that "we are full of admiration with
achievements done under the leadership of President Rahmon."

At the bilateral level, Saleh noted that there are strong ties
between the two countries and we can, via them, move to the
political and cultural level which will be reflected to the
different relations between the two countries and to reinforce their
stances in the international events.

He affirmed the importance of exchanging visit to reach a real
partnership as long as this political will is available with the two
countries' leaderships, pointing out that a joint committee will be
formed and headed by both countries industry ministers.

For his part, the Tajik President Rahmon noted that during his visit
to Yemen a number of agreements were singed between the two
countries to reinforce the bilateral relations, saying that "we are
in Tajikistan ready to sing a many agreements in order to push
fields of investment and cooperation between the two countries."

Ho noted that cooperation in the investment and medical field will
open wider horizons between Yemen and Tajikistan.

"We affirm our readiness to cooperate at the regional level and we
possess the potential to establish such cooperation within the
regional framework and to coordinate the two countries stances in
all fields," Rahmon said.
