Two coordination meetings announced

Manama, Feb.24 (BNA): Two coordination meetings spotlighting “Services” and the “Environment” themes of the Government Action Plan (GAP) 2019-2022, will be held on Sunday and Monday, respectively, Deputy Premier His Highness Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa announced. The meetings are in line with the outcome of the Government Forum 2017, which was held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and the initiative of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier to hold workshops to determine mechanisms and identify the priorities of GAP 2019-2022. The two coordination meetings will be attended by undersecretaries, assistant undersecretaries and other directors concerned with the themes of services and the environment. Deputy Premier HH Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa, also Head of the Ministerial Committee for Social Services, Telecommunications and Information, will chair a workshop on the themes of “Services and “Environment”, scheduled to be held on the 4th of March. The first workshop, held last November under the chairmanship of Deputy Premier Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, tackled GAP’s infrastructure, financial and economic themes. The second workshop, chaired by Deputy Premier Jawad Salem Al Arrayed last January, focused on the « Government Performance » and the « Legislative » themes of the Government Action Plan (GAP), 2019-2022. Deputy Premier His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al-Khalifa will chair the final workshop, themed “Future Prospects”.
