Ombudsman receives reformation, rehabilitation director-general

Manama, Feb. 25 (BNA): Ombudsman Nawaf Mohammed Al-Ma’awda received here today the Director-General of Reformation and Rehabilitation at the Interior Ministry, Brigadier Abdulsalam Yussef Al-Oraifi. Al-Ma’awda congratulated Brigadier Al-Oraifi on the royal trust and his appointment to his post, wishing every success in his duties to serve national interests and consolidate the human rights principles. The meeting discussed areas of constant cooperation between the Office of the Ombudsman and the General Directorate of Reformation and Rehabilitation. Al-Ma’awda hailed the positive cooperation of the Interior Ministry’s General Directorate of Reformation and Rehabilitation with the Office of the Ombudsman. They also discussed areas of cooperation between the Prisoners and Detainees Rights Commission (PDRC) and the General Directorate of Reformation and Rehabilitation in joint fields to consolidate human rights respect for inmates and detainees.
