HRH Premier receives Muharraq citizens

Manama, Feb. 25 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has asserted that under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the kingdom continues to achieve the best for its citizens, particularly security and tranquility. Any attempt to undermine the citizens’ security or to make them feel insecure because of the misuse of social media networks is considered "cyberterrorism" and must not continue, he said, stressing that that the use of social media networks to achieve known or secret goals in a way that affects the kingdom’s social cohesion negatively and spread the sense of insecurity is rejected by the loving Bahraini society. "In our beloved country, we create coexistence, spread love and promote tolerance, and we will stand firmly against whoever seeks to sow divide and hatred in our society. The popular stance and national awareness are the protective shield that safeguard the homeland," he added. The Prime Minister made the statements while receiving, at the Gudaibiya Palace today, a number of citizens from Muharraq, within the framework of his constant meetings with the citizens from Bahrain’s towns and villages. HRH Premier affirmed that Muharraq, with its long rich history and bright present, will remain a symbol of national pride and belonging, and will always embody the strength of Bahrainis and their unwavering determination that never relents, no matter how severe the challenges are. The stances of the citizens of Muharraq and those of various regions in the kingdom have foiled all attempts to target the nation’s security, integrity and stability, he said, stressing that the Bahraini people has always rallied together against whoever seeks to tamper with Bahrain’s cohesive national fabric.  "The Muharraq Governorate, with its neighbourhoods and regions, has a special charm and stories that tell the heritage and authenticity of the people of Bahrain. The march of its citizens continues with the same momentum, will and spirit of challenge and perseverance in order to carry on the path of giving and progress in various fields to serve the nation and its people," he added. "Muharraq is a city with a deep-rooted history of patriotic stances that have entitled it to be a role model for all Bahrainis, in terms of belonging and loyalty to the nation," HRH Premier said, affirming that the citizens of Muharraq have embodied, through their patriotic stances, the authentic values on which all Bahrainis have been brought up on, and the years have not changed, and the challenges have not weakened their resolve, bit rather strengthened them and made them more committed to their nation’s unity, and their social fabric cohesion. The Prime Minister expressed delight in meeting the citizens from Muharraq and elsewhere in Bahrain to know them and be informed about their concerns and remarks about the situation in their governorate, regarding health, education, housing, infrastructure, and others. "My love for you is boundless, and your patriotic stances have been and will remain a shield that protects the homeland and the source of our pride over the years. This is not strange, and we cannot forget the honourable history of this city, a history full of dedication in the service of homeland, made successive generations of men and women," he said while addressing the audience. HRH Premier highlighted his keenness on consolidating communication with the citizens across the kingdom to preserve and cement national unity. "Communication is a deep-rooted distinctive feature of the people of Bahrain. It was spearheaded by the ancestors and forefathers, and we are following in their steps in a way that fosters our mutual love and strengthens social cohesion and unity," he explained.  He stressed that the people of Bahrain is known for its fraternity and cohesion, calling for the need to consolidate these values, preserve them and instill them in the hearts of future generations to safeguard them against calls for division and fragmentation, which are contrary to the very nature of the Bahraini society.  "The unprecedented challenges facing the region require constant vigilance and awareness of the nature of what is being waged against us," the Prime Minister said, stressing the need to place national security and stability on top of everything else, and not to give any opportunity to those seeking to distract the kingdom and not allow it to carry on its progress and prosperity. Then, Hassan Ibrahim extended, while speaking on behalf of the Muharraq citizens, heartfelt thanks and appreciation to HRH the Prime Minister for his great interest in their governorate, and efforts to develop it and fulfill the aspirations of its citizens at all levels. Hassan Ibrahim lauded HRH Premier’s patriotic stances and his role in the kingdom’s progress and renaissance, in addition to the efforts he is exerting to defend Bahrain, raise its banners and meet the aspirations of the citizens for a stable life and prosperous future. HRH the Prime Minister is a national icon and a wise leader of Bahrain’s progress march, he said, adding that the Premier is known for his firm and decisive stances in key issues in modern Bahrain, and unwavering desire to stand by the Bahraini people regarding everything related to national security. Ibrahim Hassan praised HRH Premier’s directives regarding social media networks and the need not to use them to abuse people and cast doubts, stressing that people with sick souls have no place in Bahrain which, under the wise leadership of HM King Hamad, pledging to be dedicated in the service of the nation, under its leadership. "We have come here to tell you that we are all with you, Khalifa, in words and deeds," he told HRH Premier, noting that the Prime Minister had protected Bahrain when its Arab identity was under threat, and when its security and stability were at risk. He added that HRH the Prime Minister had defied all circumstances to preserve Bahrain and its landmark achievements, recalling the Premier’s brave stances in 2011, praying to Allah the Almighty to bless him with abundant health, happiness and long life. Then, poet Salim Ahmed Al-Mannai read a poem in love of HRH Premier. The poem also lauded the Prime Minister’s patriotic stances and role in Bahrain’s progress.
