BTEA praises Bahraini Strongest Man Championship 2018

Manama, Feb. 25 (BNA): The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) praised the success of the Bahraini Strongest Man Championship that was launched under the theme of ‘Stay Monster’ and was held inline with the directives of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association, Honorary President of Bahrain Sports Federation for the Disabled. BTEA Chief Executive Shaikh Khaled bin Humood Al Khalifa congratulated champion Emad Hussain Al Qaffas on winning the championship's heavyweight first place. The event that was launched for the first time, was held at Bahrain Bay from 22 until 24 February 2018. The proceeds from the championships will go towards supporting cancer patients. This championship comes inline with the vision and directions of the wise leadership to promote the youth and sports sector in Bahrain and the organization of such championships and sports related events that will enhance the Kingdom’s position as a leading sports hub. In addition, to encouraging a strong and determined generation who will effectively participate in competitions as well as raise sports awareness in the community and encourage a healthy lifestyle.
