Bahrain Polytechnic marks 10th anniversary

Manama, Feb. 26 (BNA): Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulaziz AlKhalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Bahrain Polytechnic (BP) has launched the college’s new 10th anniversary logo to commemorate its achievements over the past 10 years.
The design of the 10th Anniversary logo has been developed to mark the first decade in operation. Breaking the limitations of colours and shapes, transforming it into a dynamic icon that reflects the spirit of the Polytechnic community. The idea was inspired by students of the Polytechnic to create a postage stamp for every occasion during the anniversary year.
The number ‘10’ was adopted in a very simplified form, consisting of a vertical rectangle (stands for ‘1’) and a circle (stands for ’zero’), framed within a postage stamp (as any new postage stamp is usually associated with important events).
Shaikh Hisham expressed his best wishes to all Bahrain Polytechnic staff members, adding that the launch of the new logo is a demonstration of the Polytechnic’s presence as a leading institution of applied higher education which earned its reputation within a very short span.
He also said that the Polytechnic aims to strengthen and sustain this success by keeping pace with modern methods of teaching and learning in order to stimulate creativity, innovation, and research, in line with the goals of the wise leadership and honorable government to achieve Bahrain’s 2030 Vision.
Bahrain Polytechnic has grown tremendously since its inception, as it has developed a strong academic reputation in applied higher education. The quality of its academic programmes and problem-based learning teaching method were the key elements to produce the high-quality and ready-to-work graduates that meets the labour markets need. Bahrain Polytechnic is committed to produce graduates who will be creative leaders with the 21st century skills to produce a positive impact on society.
