Speaker discusses cooperation with ambassador

Manama, Feb. 26 (BNA): Speaker Ahmed Ibrahim Al Mulla has welcomed boosting the Bahrain-US cooperation, praising the deep-rooted strategic ties fostered by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the American President. He cited the parliamentary cooperation between the Council of Representatives and the US Congress and Senate and mutual exchange of visits and expertise in various fields. The Speaker’s remarks came as he received today US Ambassador to Bahrain, Justin H. Siberell, in the presence of First Deputy Speaker Ali Al Aradi and MP Isa Alkooheji. The ambassador noted Bahrain’s development in all fields thanks to HM the King’s wise policy and developmental initiatives locally and internationally. He expressed his country’s keenness on backing Bahrain’s security and stability noting the compatible anti-terrorism stances of both countries and rejection of external interferences.
