Speaker receives IPI officials

Manama, Feb. 26 (BNA): Speaker Ahmed Ibrahim Al Mulla received President of the International Peace Institute, Terje-Rod Larsen. The Speaker praised the IPI's Manama-based centre's role and efforts in disseminating the values of peace, tolerance and coexistence by organizing various events in collaboration with official institutions. He expressed his anticipation of the more joint programmes in the foreseeable future with the IPI to activate the role of parliamentary institutions and project Bahrain's accomplishments at international functions. MP Abdulrahman Bu Majeed chairman of Human Rights Committee, MP Khalid Al Shaer, MP Ahmed Qarratah, Nejib Friji director of IPI for Middle East and North Africa, and IPI chief of staff Camilla Reksten-Monsen, attended the meeting.
