HM the King hails legislative branch

Manama, Feb. 27 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa hailed the crucial role played by the legislative branch of government in strengthening the pillars of democracy, consolidating its contribution to the national development and highlighting social issues in Bahrain. HM the King made the statement as he received, at Al-Sakhir Palace, Council of Representatives Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla and Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, their deputies and members of the committees tasked to reply to the royal keynote speech. The Speaker and the Shura Chairman submitted the replies of the two councils to the keynote address delivered by HM the King at the opening of the fourth session of the fourth legislative term. HM the King commended the two councils, hailing their crucial role and constant contribution to serving comprehensive development, consolidating national unity and advocating the national causes by upgrading laws and legislations that serve citizens and meeting their needs. HM the King hailed the constructive cooperation between the legislative and executive branches of government for further achievements, progress and prosperity for Bahrain and its people. HM the King commended the content of the replies submitted by the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives, enclosing constructive proposals and ideas to enhance the performance and bolster the state institutions and the law and consolidate the democratic process to continue the march of national action. He took pride in the dedication of Bahraini citizens in all fields, hailing their important role in bolstering Bahrain’s pioneering standing on all levels.He reiterated Bahrain’s firm determination to pursue its pioneering march of development for the future of the coming generations, wishing all success in fulfilling their duties.
