Premier hails Bahrain’s tourism strides

Manama, Feb. 27 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa inaugurated this evening the Jumeirah Royal Saray Bahrain in the district of Al-Seef. He underlined Bahrain’s steady success in developing the tourism sector, owing its potential which plays a crucial role in promoting the industry of hospitality. He hailed Bahrain’s strides to set up facilities and resorts which, he said, reflect the Kingdom’s perfect environment and potential in the sectors of tourism and hospitality, thus earning a marked standing on the regional and international tourism map. He reiterated the Government’s drive to encourage tourism development, provide all facilities which woo the private sector to invest in the vital sector whose positive windfall benefits the national economy. HRH the Premier toured the hotel and was briefed about facilities and services. He was informed by Shaikh Khalifa bin Rashid Al-Khalifa on the hotel’s area and services. He stressed the importance of expanding tourism facilities and building hotels as part of efforts to diversify the sources of revenues and invest in all potential, including makets, museums, archeological vestiges, resorts and modern shopping outlets. Shaikh Khalifa bin Rashid Al-Khalifa delivered a speech, paying tribute to HRH the Premier for gracing the inauguration ceremony of the Jumeirah Royal Saray Bahrain. He hailed the Premier’s support to all initiatives aimed at consolidating Bahrain’s development and bolstering its competitive edge, stressing the importance of the tourism and hospitality sector as a key pillar for spurring economic growth. Jumeirah Royal Saray Bahrain Chief Executive Officer Marc Dardenne expressed deep thanks and gratitude to HRH the Premier for opening the new milestone, hailing his support and the Government’s drive to provide all facilities for the project. A video recording documenting the multi-stage project was shown during the ceremony which featured Bahraini and Emirati folklore. A commemorative memento was presented to HRH the Premier.
